Please come to The Meadow House to collect the keys to the cottage. To find more information on how to get to The Meadow House, click here. For Cottage bookings the balance of your payment is to be made upon collection of the key from The Meadow House.
CARE OF THE COTTAGE
Hilary’s Cottage is looked after for us very well by our workers. So please take care of it and leave it as you would want to find it on your arrival. A well behaved dog would also be a welcomed guest at our holiday cottage.
LOCAL INFORMATION
For local shopping: Swaffham Bulbeck has a General Stores and Post Office. Burwell has a Co-op, Costcutter, Lloyds Chemist, Post Office and Budgens Garage. Both of these two villages are close to the Cottage.
There are also a number of very interesting places to visit while you are in the area. These include:
Cambridge – University city, shops, punting, historic architecture.
Newmarket – The headquarters of British horse racing and home to the Nation Horse Racing Museum.
Anglesey Abbey at Lode and Wicken Fen – Both National Trust properties.
Duxford – Home to the Duxford Air and Space Museum.
Ely – With Ely Cathedral and fine riverside eateries.
Other places you may want to visit include: Bury St. Edmunds, Abbey Gardens and the historic villages of Long Melford, Lavenham and Cavendish. These of which are all located in the nearby county of Suffolk.
